Iowa | If you want to give them in impact to remember, get an old milk can, with as little rust as possible. Paint it up nice and spiffy. Weld a plate on the bottom so it sits upright. Maybe even put a long metal peg ot two through holes in said plate, right into the ground. Put your treated or metal post holding box in it and fill with concrete or gravel plus concrete at the top. I always put big rocks around mine for good measure,
We've done ours like this for years and no one has ever smacked it and turned it over and I'm guessing that loud thud when they hit it might deter them from being drunk and driving again. | |
