NEND | This would work as well as anything, it's kind of what I was referring to when I said to set your track spacing at the width of both headers added together, only Dennis is recommending setting it to half that amount. In your case, you'd probably want to set the track spacing to 42' or so to allow for a 6" overlap.I like that idea and one combine taking the odd numbered passes, the other one even. This way, when the first combine (on even numbered passes) gets to the end of pass 1, it would have to come back on pass 5 to avoid the combine on pass 2. As long as each one jumped around to avoid the other and stayed on their odd/even numbered passes, this would work ok and each combine should be open to the grain cart every other pass.
Best option though...trade headers (and combines if needed). Not the cheapest, but it'd be less confusing :) |
