Thumb of Michigan | I disagree. Time saved in mailing for one. Using window envelopes saves steps. I spend less time entering a bill and paying it via computer checks than we do with regular checks. Depending on how much detail in accounts you use, a computer generated check can eleiminate some repetitive entries. I have an account we write a few checks out of, I use computer checks for that. Have a couple accounts that get less activity, use regular checks for those. When I compare the whole transaction for either, the computer checks are easily 2 X + faster. The cost is similar for checks and envelopes.
At one time, I had OK hand writing. A couple of neck fusions changed that for the worse. Anything I can do now that involves typing instead of writing equals less mistakes.
I am writing less checks in total anymore, however. Using credit cards and online banking where possible. Still using computer checks when I need to write a check, however. | |
