Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The Versa and all current Ag Leader displays are now CAN based. This means that instead of having all the computations done inside the cab box, they are spread around the combine. This is quite a change from what you have.
On your combine there would be three modules involved with the display in the cab. There is a module for sensing the grain flow. It is part of the grain flow assembly which is different than what you have. There is a moisture module that can work with the moisture housing and sensor that you have. The third module works with ground speed, elevator speed and head height. It is typically mounted on the right side of your combine with wires running to the various sensors.
Essentially all the wiring would need to be changed. If it came with a GPS, it is likely that it can be used with the newer system.
So all in all, it certainly can be done but does get involved. It should be possible to pick up a used PF3000 for a very minimal price which might be sufficient for your needs. |
