Subject: RE: Macular degeneration

Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

steadyman - 7/29/2017 21:40 I went to the eye doctor and he ran some tests. I have dry macular degeneration. It's not treatable from what he said but it can be slowed down. Anyone on here have it and care to comment on your experience with it.

I could write you a book. My mother has dealt with it for several years; her father did as well the last years of his life.

The best thing Mom has done with regards to treatment and keeping it as much at bay as she has was to get referred to Dr Tracy Kangas, now at McFarland Clinic in Ames. I cannot say enough good about Dr Kangas and all she's done to keep Mom as independent as she is at almost 90 years of age

If you'd like other info, my email is good.
