Subject: RE: Macular degeneration

My mother, before she passed away, had both wet and dry kind. She had shots but dont know which, wet or dry it was for. Her left eye went 100% blind. Right eye was down to nothing straight ahead, only a little from the sides. Lived at home till 5 days before she died. Said every day not in the nursing home is a good day.

Yes its bad, do all you can to stem the tide. At first mom had a headband and googles to assist with the reading or looking at stuff like pictures. She also had a very bright under upper cabinet light. She also had an attachment to kitchen TV which was a 'mouse' you ran over the book or newspaper etc and it magnified it to huge size on the TV. Those things helped her cope as much as possible. Check into those items as the need apples.
