I'm using XP and am very pleased. Unless tree lines are not an issue, you will still need markers at times.


I don't have many treelines but I agree that having the markers available is very handy at times. In my situation (Deere 1760) the planter had markers on it which were tee'd into the main frame lift since I preferred it that way. I installed an electric solenoid in the line going to the markers when I went to autopilot.

The majority of the time I run with the markers UP but I can flip a switch and the markers will then behave like they did originally. I generally use the markers for the ends and leave them up for the "meat" of the field. I still have the option to drop them if I detect an unusual situation.
