Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I agree with D.G.'s comment about lightbars supplementing other equipment.
I found that when I used a lightbar alone for guidance in some low visibility situations (NH3 on rough dry ground at night) that it was not very useful and made a lot of work out of the situation.
However, the lightbar can be very handy for supplementing other visual clues. For example I use my older Raven Lightbar to help get me on the correct set of rows when spraying. The lightbar is very helpful in this situation and once I'm on the right set of rows I manually follow the rows.
I think you will be disappointed if you buy a lightbar just for a planting situation and hope to drive by it alone. It might be somewhat acceptable for certain drilled crops but not acceptable for row crops.
