Former tenants left meat in a fridge at our place. I thought it was a goner. The wife cleaned it good with bleach, and then set paper plates of the cheapest coffee she could buy on every flat surface, at least a dozen of them. She shut the door and said not to open it for a week. After that, smell was gone.
