Be sure both curtains are in located behind beater. That helps knock kernels down to walkers. Also, see if you have any of these fish backs mounted on the center of your walkers from front to rear. These help turn the straw mat over upside down and releases grain held in straw mat. Should be at least 3 or 4 of these on each walker.
Is there a significant advantage to putting the "fishbacks" as close as possible to the center of the walker, rather than somewhat off to the sides (of the walker) like they come from the factory?
It would require drilling new holes. |
