Ron, I agree with your battery idea, my only concern would be if the compressor battery was really dead, and you plugged it in you could cause issues. So don't drain it down, okay :)

My real question is about your idea of one air tank for clutches and air bags. I do not have an air bag planter, so not familiar, but isn't the bag pressure determined by a system pressure, ie how much a compressor runs? How will that work running both off one tank if you regulate bag pressure this way, or would there be a regulating valve of some kind between the tank and bags? Or do the clutches require such low pressure any air bag setting will suffice for clutch operation?
