| I would recommend hand launching and landing if you feel comfortable. This will keep a lot of dirt and dust out of the gimbals and motors extending the life of these components. Also, I'm not sure if you are taking off the props often, but if you are putting them on and feel the need to use the little prop wrench that comes with it, be very mindful to not over tighten. They are plastic threads and this wrench will strip it easy. Finally, make sure you have acquired GPS signal on both devices and a home point established before you go off on any wild adventures in the unlikely event that you loose signal it has a home to come back to!
Bonus: Tape an extra micro sd card to either your case or phantom somewhere so that you avoid the heart breaking feeling when you go somewhere to conduct a flight and you click the picture button only to realize there is no card because you forgot it in your reader at home!
Bonus 2: Think about wind direction and speed when flying with it, this can skew your return to home times greatly. Nobody wants to go looking through a corn field for your phantom! |
