EC Mo | Where do you see crop ratings trending higher? What I have seen is ratings that are significantly worse than the last 3 years and they seem to be just holding steady. Corn good to excellent is 8 points behind last year and poor to very poor is at 8% compared to 4 % last year at this time.That is TWICE as much corn in the US that is poor to very poor this year compared to last year.To start talking yields as good as the last 3 years on corn the ratings would have to improve a lot which they are NOT doing even though the bears can always manage to twist it in their favor to support their positions. Doubt perfect weather the rest of the summer could improve ratings enough to compare to last year.If these ratings mean anything that would point to a lower yield in 2017 for corn.. | |
