Morris, IL
Exact same setup in 8940. No, in fact i can't turn steering wheel hardly at all until steering clicks out of gear on 8940. We put those valves in the steering lines that shut off the flow to keep steering system from back feeding when steering is engaged Dealer (Tjm71 here on agtalk) said some need it some don't and easier to just put it in from get go. Said some when steering is engaged the steering wheel will move right along with wheels oil can get around the steering cylinder this way or something like that. Works perfectly from day one over year ago i installed some easier stuff and one of his guys finished hydraulics off.

Agleader shows some diagrams starting page 77, somewhere they talk about them but i can't find it quickly skimming manual. One tip the kit from agleader included everything needed except the fitting to get to the reactive steering kit, maybe they just shorted ours but just warning JD or anyone can make up a hose that will adapt them to fit. https://support.agleader.com/kbp/index.php?View=afile&EntryID=1589&A...

Our MX285 isn't as touchy, like you say you can slowly turn steering wheel and almost wish could add that kit to it just so it will either stay in gear or not rather then fight me as i turn steering wheel. Best practice is just always click it out before turning like that will ever happen.
