Could be a torn meniscus. You don't have to "do" anything special to injure it. I tore mine just climbing a steep incline. So your carrying those heavy bags might have put you off balance enough to do it. You will need to see your doctor and then be referred to get an MRI. Just a possibility anyway. Good luck
