We went to a Precision Planting presentation, where they tried to convince us that the Speed Tube was needed in rocky soil as rocks would dislodge seed and cause multiples and skips. They showed a video of a row unit going through a field and hitting 5 rocks a second, and we all thought "Where did they find that many rocks to put in a field to make that video?"

I now stand corrected.

I'm not familiar with speed tubes.

We use esets and plant at 2mph or less in these conditions. Non-row unit mounted row cleaners make a big difference for row unit ride quality.
