Southwestern Indiana | We've gotten pretty lucky here so far, only getting 2.5-3 inches over the last 3 days. It's still concerning to me how much ponding and water there is running off the fields especially considering we were pretty dry before this rain. Tile were barely running. We no-till a fair amount of corn and all our beans and the water is clearer but still a lot not soaking in. Are cover crops the magic bullet to increase infiltration? Anyone have any obvious evidence or examples of ground being significantly improved? | |
