Manson IA | It's the same in Iowa. Not the same name but the same deal. They have like 48 hours and if you are not around when they come you can't catch them to mark your personal stuff. If you have no public utilities on your property like me, it's worthless. The spray out a circle and all the utility flags get placed in that circle next to my power pole with an OK sprayed on the ground. Power on my place coming in is above ground. I've had it done twice.... I work every day so not very likely i'd be around when they show up. I buried a water line last year to the barn (never thought about a tracer wire when I did it) and a new propane line (ran a tracer with that). I guess just drawing on some maps will work was just wondering if I could mark it with my phone and maybe save or print a map while I can still see the trenches? | |
