according to agronomy handbook, rye matures 1-2 weeks earlier than wheat and since it yields less than wheat and is susceptible to lodging should keep N rates lower
I still contend that your fall tillering looks good, and If I used 200 bushel seed per year, I would plan on harvesting 30-50 bpa for seed needs.
You might even have enough time to double crop beans in the field
