Will I loose the flight records?
I also have a Phantom III Standard. Purchased it last fall after a wreck with $500 + in new camera. Decided to maybe fly something cheaper.
Did not like the standard, so 'loaned' it to my sister.
Really loaned should be gave.
Anyway, I may see if it will work on the standard.
Also last fall I was going to give flying along side a combine with operator and RC in the combine cab.
That was about the biggest mess I have been in since I left the Army.
If the aircraft was lagging behind, or too high, or whatever, could not tell were it was.
It did not take me long to give up on that idea.
Standing out of the cab on the platform may work OK.
But Follow Me seems like the deal.
A question about follow me-
You are working in a field, say planting. Drone in follow me mode is along the left side making a video.
Planter is heading north, so the drone is west of the planter.
You come to the headlands, turn around 180 and the planter is now heading south.
Will the drone still be on the left side of the planter, now east?
Or on the right side, now west?
The picture below is about the best I got while riding in the combine cab.
The video was all over the place.
I really hate to admit I was in the cab of a combine other than a Lexion or Gleaner, but sometimes you have to do things you don't want to.
