So are the dealers going to discount the customer for the interest saved for not carrying inventory anymore?  If a dealer isn't going to inventory parts anymore, why do I need a parts counter?  Give me the parts book online with an order option, like JD already has, and I can select the parts I need and have them shipped straight to my farm next day and take out the dealers markup, the dealers already charge you for the shipping anyway, so I might as well avoid paying the dealer overhead and having to drive to get the parts at the dealer.  New equipment, everything is being sold at list price now anyway, so sell it out of regional offices and have regional demonstration plots if a farmer wants to try it out before he buys, he goes there and demos.  Uh oh, we just eliminated the dealer office, now you're just a service shop, and everyone is  much happier.
