How important is tassel uniformity in terms of yield across a field? We had a wet and cold spring and the spots that were affected the most are the last to tassel by usually about 3-6 days. Does anyone have experience with what kind of affect that will have on yield? I've seen and heard of some producers who actually plant two different maturities at the same time so that one will tassel first then the second will later which increases the pollination period. Just curious what everyone's thoughts are.
