Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | After relocating the dish, my reception is much better and I am able to get Sat 129 quite well.
It is out right now due to a nice rainstorm which I will gladly put up with.
My current problem concerns the unreliablity of the Remote. My old remote worked well with the original HD receiver.
Since the change to the new receiver and even its replacment, the Remote is not reliable. The installer swapped remotes with me and the newest one is faster but still not reliable.
Upon startup the Remote will not affect any changes to the Sat receiver. The TV and VCR buttons work as expected. After fooling around with the buttons on the receiver itself, the Remote may suddenly come to life and work fine.
This was the case with the first replacement receiver and its remote and is the same with the second replacement receiver and yet another remote. I feel I understand the operation of the remote since its operation is great at times but seems to need a "slap alongside the head" to get going.
