Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | I don't use OE, but once had NS mail "lose" the folder location of my messages. My Thunderbird messages are in "C:\Documents and Settings\Carl Hobbs\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\m0x781gm.default\Mail\Local Folders"; I found that by viewing the settings for my email account. "C:\Outlook Express" does not look right.
Perhaps you can browse to your "user" folder in Documents and Settings and do a "file search" for some key words in the file or folder name like "Outlook", "Mail", "Inbox", etc. I have done that to find mine before. Yours will probably be a big file, maybe with a date and time stamp matching the last time you saw your email and it looked right.
I archive the EXACT location of this folder to a text file so that if something ever happens again, I can go back and get them. It also is a way you can find a folder to make a backup of emails. |
