North End I-15
Me too , Brakes are expensive ;>)

Learned to drive truck in a 1948 KB-5 International . Straight cut gears . Sister never did get the hang of double clutching . Life long habit.
My old Pete cab over with 8 V 92 and 10 speed was a let off the gas and slam it in to next gear . The 379 Pete with Cat 3406 was a different shift . The Cat engine does not drop RPM like the V8 Detroit. Takes a bit of patience to wait for rpms to drop off to shift . double clutching makes it a lot smoother.
