Adams, NE | 1 point of octane is worth 15 to 25 cents per gallon to a refinery as lower octane gasoline yields more DIESEL at the gate. So, if the refinery can make 84.5 octane and blend with high octane ethanol, the refiner can make 37.5 to 62.5 cpg more in their "crack". More ethanol equals more diesel, but what do i know? A heckuva a lot more than order buyer...like i said, stay in cattle. | |
