Central Texas
Bob

Will band them then cut 2 slits thru sac. Slits let them dry up and fall off in half the time compared to no slit. Will sell in OK City and some 899 lb #1-2 steers brought $2.24 there this week. Need $1.99 to net $50/hd which is $1.00/hd/day. Like fast turnover if can meet profit goal especially in this volatile market.

Another trade that looks pretty good right now is buying 550-600 lb bulls and backgrounding them to 800-850lb. Guess those heavy 5 wts are too big for winter pasture and too small for many finishers.
