Subject: RE: Slow valves with DirectCommand and NH3

West Central Indiana
You're correct, Ted....I should have been a little more specific. Our control valve is a fast valve followed by the 2 ON/OFF valves to control the 2 sections of the toolbar. We have the boxed checked to close the control valve with no flow, so I think we're good there. I should have also mentioned that we are having a problem with the control valve not wanting to move either. I seems to be fluttering open and closed, mostly closed, not allowing much NH3 through it. We have the valve cal number set at 16.8 which is the flow meter cal number divided by 10, which is what Ag Leader recommends. Another question is there are 2 numbers on the flow meter, one for pulses per gallon which is like 710, then another for pulses per pound N, which is the 168 number. I'm assuming we use that pulses per pound N, which will display actual pounds of N being applied on the Insight?
