| I was bit by a german shephard while bicycling on the road in a suburb long ago. I don't trust them much. In a small Texas town where I lived a couple years, the neighbors in the duplex to my east bought one G S each and trained them to be aggressive and mean. The family nearest to my duplex tended to go fishing for whole weekends and left the dog water in a tall bucket. By early afternoon on Saturday the dog would have turned the bucket over. I made friends with that one by filling the water bucket after it got really thirsty and while it bit several people walking along the road, it didn't bit me after it tried and put my thumb in its mouth pinching tongue against its lower jaw.
