Our LG went down last summer.Not all repair people are LG approved, Sears did our compressor and a couple of boards, it took a month to get it done but was 100% covered by warranty. Compressor is covered for 10 yrs. the bill would have been over $600
The original purchaser of this refrigerator passed away a couple years ago, and i have no way to know how old it is. Pretty sure he bought it after his mother passed away, so less than ten years. I wasn't trying to get it warranted, just repaired. Willing to pay for it, and my checks are good. These guys just acted like ANYTHING to do with the actual refrigeration system isn't worth touching. That blows my mind.
If it ends up that i need a compressor, I'll shop around and see what i think i can do that for. If i can find the parts for another hundred our two, i may keep trying. I can't stand the 'disposable' mindset, specially with something like this that's viewed as a luxury item.
