| Brother had one like yours no sure if LG or samsung?, but same thing had lost
freon. Service man had no problem adding freon and some sealer. That was about
a year ago, so don't know long term.
On a side note I am getting the same runaround on a large DLP TV. It cost
something like $3-4000. about 5 years ago. Doesn't see a lot of use, so guess
about 2000hrs. When I got the unit I remember the song and dance about the
new LED light source that would last 100,000hrs. Guess what, the red LED failure
is common. I can get LED for about $100in US, but only serviceman I found said
it would be 500-600 and not worth repairing. This may be first winter project.
