| Hello everyone, new farmer here (well, been farming whole life, just started my own this year)
I'm looking for tips on how you guys go around looking for new farm ground. There are quite a few families in the area that rent out thier ground, mostly to the few big time operations left. I know most of the people in the area, but not on a personal level. How do you guys approch these situations? What do you bring? What do you say? I've asked a few people I know very personally, but they don't want to tick off the farmer currently renting.
This is mainly a hooby farm for now, so I'm not in deparate mode. But I would like to make it a full time deal in 20 years or so. | |
