The maps that you see onscreen are really just "snapshots" of the way the screen looked the last time you were harvesting.
The .ilf files contain the actual data points (not a map) so that SMS or some other software can create a yield map. This is why the maps can be manipulated (different legends etc.) in the software on a PC but the harvest map onscreen cannot be manipulated after the fact.
The backup procedure is used to create a backup in the event that the Insight had major problems. The backup procedure is not used to transfer the data to a computer for processing.
Using the Copy to Card Icon from the Home Screen will copy any and all .ilf files which have not yet been copied to a memory card. When you do this, those files are marked for future deletion by the system. If some of the files seem to be missing, it may just be a simple matter of copying files from the Home Screen. If the files were actually copied to a card in the past, the files are quite likely gone.
"Housekeeping routines" are done by the system at various times to get rid of the old excess baggage.
If the all the files were copied in the past, it is possible they are still on the memory card and were simply not loaded into the software.
Another possiblity which was mentioned is that possibly these fields are loaded in the software but you can't find them because they are not where you expect them to be. |
