My wife and I are going to be traveling to Texas at the end of August. One of our stops is going to be Austin where she will be taking a 1 day class at the Austin Community College-Eastview Campus. I'm planning to go visit the state capital while she is in class. Are there any other destinations that would be interesting for a farm boy from Wisconsin? We're already planning to go to LBJ's Presidential Library. Suggestions for a restaurant for lunch/dinner would also be appreciated (e.g., steak, BBQ). tia.
Salt Lick, Moonshine bar and grill, Rudys, Homeslice pizza, Chuys are all good places to eat.
Go down to Congress near downtown. TONS of good eats in that area.
