I think the difference you are seeing is that you are using adaptive curve the 500 must adapt differently than the plus. In the new 500 firmware there are some settings on how the adaptive curve makes the next pass. I have never used the curve settings as I can't drive straight enough the first pass. I just use straight ab lines as our fields are mostly square. Try a straight ab line and see how they compair then.
