I assume you put the GPS antennas for the two units on the vehicle roof directly in-line along the center of the implement. If you choose the same implement width and on the EZ-Guide 500 set the overlap to zero (which is what it automatically is on the EZ-Guide Plus, since there is no adjustment for overlap on the EZ-Guide Plus, and set the AB lines at the same location, then you have taken care of most of the differences between the Setup of the Plus and 500. There still are differences in how the On-Path filter works between the two units which might cause the XTE lines to diverge because how the filers work. The two units may indicate to move one way or the other a few inches differntly on each unit depending on how the satellites are changing and how the different models react to the changes. If the differences in guidance the current swath are only a few inches either way, within the overlap you have chosen, there should not be a concern.
