nw oh | I questioned the put strategy not saying it is wrong just that when do you sell? If you keep rolling the puts that makes some sense, but if you don't you are not taking advantage of the run up until you sell in the fall. By then something maybe not a catastrophe but a setback could take place and you still did not get to take much advantage of the run up. Am I looking at it wrong?
I feel if you need the board to go up to get an expected margin why own the cattle and not just buy the board it looks like a speculative move to me. | |
