MN | I guess I would rather feed fewer cattle, and be able to handle the volatility, than feed more cattle and extend myself to the point I needed to use options for protection. I'll stay diversified and grow slow, and pocket those put premiums myself. Let the bankers and traders find someone else to pay their salaries. That's just my opinion. Certainly would have been more profitable to load the boat (or fill the yard) with cattle and be maxed out the last 6-9 months. Not so much fun buying corn last summer though. | |
