Dandelions help with weight loss in another way too: They're very diuretic. Although it's only water loss!
For that reason, they are officially called "pissenlit" in French, which means "piss in bed."
By the way, "dandelion" also comes from the French "dent de lion" for "lion's tooth", in reference to the shape of the leaves. Yeah, naturalists from the Middle Ages had only weird paintings to help them describe exotic African animals, dandelions look like very improbable lion's tooth... |
