south central IOWA | I watched an Iowan cowboy yesterday set up his corral and try to rope a month or two old calf. I was thinking his momma was probably in a different pasture. I don't know if it was because I was watching or what but after his failed attempt at roping the calf he started cussing and took his horse to the truck and corral and threw the saddle off in a fit and loaded his horse. Felt bad for him but he didn't have his rig set up correctly evidently. He had it right in the corner. I've never used a setup like that but your theory makes sense to me. Thanks for the pictures!
