I don't know how it is done in other parts of the country but this happens hundreds of times a season in our part of the world. Stockers coming off of grazed off wheat. Usually going straight to a feedyard. Set up a portable corrals. The Wilson style have about 99% of the market around here. Set it up near a corner of the field. Hot fence is around the wheat ground. Uh-oh they are frisky this morning....... Use a semi or two and a couple pickups to make a "wing" to funnel the cattle into the corrals. Looks like the Japanese Quarter Horses are warmed up and ready to go. Time for a rodeo. Success! They usually will go around the "wing" and think they are getting away, and run right into the corrals. |
