Central Texas
With early planting and good fall weather can usually turn out some calves in nov or dec to graze thru winter. For spring grazeout, in march when wheat breaks dormancy and starts growing usually need to double your numbers then. On irrigated wheat used to stock around 400#/acre live weight in fall and around 1200#/acre for grazeout. By march, the fall grazed calves would be up to around 600#/acre so just doubled up from there.
