| To a point your right Jim. Its not all spec driven. But............ they seem to be good at taking a story and running with it. Numbers are indeed tight...........specs just have a way of amplifying things and when the time comes and they head for the door, I for one don't want to be in their way. My point is there's more to the story then just a shortage of cattle and there's ways of making demand for US beef tank. When the day comes and there is a train wreck, its my opinion that numbers of beef cattle will have had nothing to do with it. I won't sit on the side lines either. There will be cattle sold along the way that one will be able to hedge for a profit. Right now............most feeders being bought can't be hedged profitably. Honestly..... most feeders could buy paper cattle that have a better chance at making money then real cattle. I'd rather start at even money then 150$ behind the money before you ever start. That's about where there pricing yearling cattle right now. | |
