Texas/New Mexico Stateline
I don't ever remember paying more than $4.50 or so, and that was at a convenience store, or the Dollar General. Usually get it sometimes for $2.50-3.50. Once local chain store was running their half gallon for $1, and I saw several folks buying the name brand milk in gallons for $4 or so. Couldn't help but chuckle, especially when you check the plant number on the jug and it all comes from the same plant, out of the same trucks.

We certainly drink a lot. If we didn't kind of limit ourselves a little, our family of 5 could put down 4 gallons a week. We try to keep it around 3 gallons.

When I was a teenager (family of 5) my mom was buying a "box" of milk every week. 6 gallons the grocery store guy would go fetch out of the cooler for her.
