To me, there is a difference between "public urination" & indecent exposure, which is what it used to be called. If you stand & "go" right in the middle of a populated sidewalk or street, that's a problem, but if you attempt to hide yourself from view, then should be no problem, assuming the product doesn't run into public also!

Living in Europe in the late '60s, early '70s gave a different view of "acceptable" also. Roadside rest stops were just a metal divider curtain shielding you from full view of the traffic. There was no "his" or "hers". It was just wait your turn. We also had European cleaning ladies in our billeting latrines cleaning at various times of the day. If you were there...fine. You did your business, she did hers. I don't think it led to pedophilia.
