If you farm for break even here waiting for that home run year to make it all worthwhile, you will go broke. It just does not happen that one year in ten everything yields 2x or more what was expected. A home run is more like 15% over what you budgeted, and a failure (15% under budget) may be about as likely to happen.

There's always that chance to hit a home run with marketing, but we all know striking out is about as common there.
