swMN | Thanks for all the replies, the mice haven't been a problem for at least a year, get an occasional one when bean combining starts but a little d-con and traps get the job done. I put down rat size glue boards last night and a heat lamp over two of them, had one curled up along side the trap but not stuck, but I got him caught, the dirt floor and rock mortar foundation are only one portion of the basement, 3/4 of the rest is concrete floor and block construction. My wife has a bad sense of smell so the mothball odor doesn't bother her but someone asked at work about it, now she's upset about that. | |
