I made my version of a Noland Freeze guard. I have 3" pvc with a 3/4 waterline inside. I use a cross where nipples go in and stick a heater in the line that I get from vittletoe. Works good to about zero and then the water freezes in spigot on nipple. I use foam in a can to insulate 3" pvc after I put it together.
