Saronville NE | I think things are overpriced, I cant believe how much some things have gone up in just a few short years. 5 yrs ago I could buy new 5.5x8 creosote post for $11.75 a bundle, last year I had to give $18.35 for same size post, and took some wheeling dealing and 4 bundles to get that price. JD baler teeth used to be 10 in a box for $22 now they are 4 in a box for $36. Ive never owned a new tractor and pry never will but wasn't that long ago when you could buy a used 4k hr 8300 for $50k, now the same tractor with more hours is $70k. In 12 years a new stock trailer option for option has gone up $3850, not as bad as a lot of things. I leased a new pu in 01, diesel leather loaded, coulda bought it for $35k out the door, a new 11 when I leased it was going to be $48k out the door and it wasn't even leather. And the 01 got better mileage.
I think things are crazy but I don't see them getting any better in the future, so live with it and move on I quess. | |
