Subject: RE: millet/sorghum sudan down south

Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA,
My opinion on Sorghum Sudan pretty much mirror my views on rye, either it is too small, or it boots and gets stalkly in about a weeks worth of time, and a small period inbetween when it is good feed. When it is good feed, it is really good feed, but once it gets away from you, it turns into chopper fodder. Millet seems a bit more forgiving. I keep saying I want to try planting a millet and iron clay pea mix one year after corn and graze or hay that, but I haven't gotten that brave or needed the feed yet.
